Glenroyd in Blackpool is set to get a new look pharmacy when the existing pharmacy at the Glenroyd Medical Centre changes its name to Assura Pharmacy later this week.

This latest acquisition represents Assura Pharmacy's 12th pharmacy to open to date and forms part of a wider strategy that will also aim to involve Assura Property in the town.

Assura Pharmacy's vision is to open a network of outlets across the UK, with the majority situated within medical centres where they can provide an integrated pharmacy service, working closely with GPs and other NHS professionals to meet the needs of patients in the local community.

This integrated approach is in line with the Government’s strategy – ‘A Vision for Pharmacy in the new NHS’ – and new pharmacy regulations. The Assura Pharmacy will be the Group’s first in Blackpool.
